AGF recently completed a nationwide visual documentation initiative with the Naval History and Heritage Command on September 19, 2025. This multi-month project covered 16 sites across the United States and involved photographing more than 250 historically significant artifacts.
The work required precise image capture, site coordination, travel, artifact handling, and high-resolution documentation for both archival preservation and public presentation. From museum collections to loaned artifacts housed in regional institutions, each item was documented with the accuracy and care required for long-term cultural preservation.
This project demonstrates AGF’s proven ability to manage federal / large scale logistics while delivering consistent, publication-ready imagery.
In 2007, I led the Alaska Digital Imaging Project for the National Park Service, traveling to Juneau, Sitka, Anchorage, Gustavus, and Fairbanks and photographing more than 1,600 artifacts across multiple museum collections—contributing to the preservation and accessibility of Alaska’s diverse historical and archaeological heritage.

Using color calibration, photographic scales, and high-resolution imaging, we capture archival-quality photos with redundant backups. Clients review each image on-site for accuracy and completeness before we leave, ensuring their standards are fully met and giving them confidence in the final results. We are fully insured, with strict protocols — no food, drinks, pens, or contaminants in the work area — protecting the safety and preservation of every object.
